PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY BERBANTUAN MASALAH TERBUKA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA DITINJAU DARI ADVERSITY QUOTIENT
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran discovery berbantuan masalah terbuka terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika ditinjau dari adversity quotient. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan faktorial 2 × 2 yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Sukawati dengan melibatkan sampel sebanyak 60 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa kuesioner adversity quotient dan tes pemecahan masalah. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Anava dua jalur.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti strategi pembelajaran discovery berbantuan masalah terbuka lebih baik dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti strategi pembelajaran discovery; (2) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang memiliki adversity quotient tinggi lebih baik dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang memiliki adversity quotient rendah; (3) terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran discovery dan adversity quotient terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Sehubungan dengan temuan penelitian ini, disarankan agar strategi pembelajaran matematika discovery berbantuan masalah terbuka lebih dikembangkan sebagai salah satu inovasi dalam pembelajaran matematika.

The purpose of the research is to know the influence of the discovery learning strategy using open-ended problem on mathematics problem solving ability in terms of adversity quotient. The research is quasi experimental research with 2 × 2 factorial design conducted at SMP N 2 Sukawati and involved a sample of 60 students. The instruments used in this research are adversity quotient questionnaire and problem-solving test. The data which has been collected were analyzed using two ways Anava. The results showed that: (1) mathematics problem solving ability of students who take the learning process of discovery strategy using open-ended problem was better than students who take the strategy of discovery learning; (2) mathematics problem solving ability at students with high adversity quotient was better than students with low adversity quotient; (3) there was an interaction between the strategy of discovery learning and the adversity quotient of mathematics problem solving ability. In line with the findings of this research, it is suggested that discovery learning strategy using open-ended problem is further developed as one of the innovations in learning mathematics.
