PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERPENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DENGAN SETING PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE SQUARE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berpendekatan saintifik dengan seting pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share square (TPSS) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Amlapura sebagai subjek penelitian. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa buku siswa dan buku petunjuk guru. Buku siswa yang dimaksud adalah buku yang digunakan siswa dalam pembelajaran yang menyajikan permasalahan-permasalahan matematika dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik melalui seting pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSS. Buku petunjuk guru berisi tentang langkah-langkah proses pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dan langkah-langkah dalam membentuk kelompok belajar berdasarkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSS. Di samping itu, buku petunjuk guru juga berisi alternatif penyelesaian dari setiap permasalahan yang ada pada buku siswa. Validitas perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan didasarkan atas saran validator. Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan dilihat dari respons siswa dan respons guru terhadap keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran. Dari hasil pengamatan terhadap respons siswa dan respons guru serta keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran, diperoleh perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang berkategori praktis. Sedangkan efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dilihat dari rata-rata skor aktivitas belajar siswa yang berkategori aktif dan prestasi belajar siswa yang berkategori baik dan memenuhi KKM yang ditetapkan di sekolah. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran tersebut mengikuti prosedur penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran Plomp yang meliputi tahap Preliminary Research, Prototyping, dan Assessment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif yang diharapkan.

This research is aimed at producing valid, practical, and effective mathematics learning devices with scientific approach by the think pair share square (TPSS) learning model setting. This research involved subjects from three classes of VII grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Amlapura. The learning devices which were developed are student’s book and teacher’s guiding book. The students’ book which was used by the students in learning process presents mathematics problems which should be solved using the scientific approach in cooperative learning setting. The teacher’s guiding book contains some steps in applying scientific approach and some steps on how to group students based on TPSS cooperative learning model. In addition, it also contains an alternative solutions for any problems in the student’s book. The validity of mathematics learning devices were developed based on the validator’s advices. The practical category of mathematics learning devices were gained from the observation’s result towards students’ and teachers’ responses, and the learning process. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the developed mathematics learning devices were seen from the average scores of the students’ learning activity and the students’ learning achievement. The development process of the learning devices follows the design research procedure of Plomp which includes the Preliminary Research, Prototyping, and Assessment steps. The research shows that the learning devices have fulfilled the validity, practicality, and effectiveness criteria as are expected.
