Peranan Pendidikan IPS dalam Pencegahan Konflik Melalui Pendidikan Perdamaian

Abstract


Gejala masalah sosial yang terus bergerak tidak dapat dihindarkan pada masa sekarang, kehidupan bermasyarakat yang tidak stabil, dan situasi bernegara yang tidak sesuai dengan kaidah. Hal inilah yang banyak menimbulkan konflik diseluruh pelosok Indonesia, Maka dari itulah dibutuhkannya Pendidikan IPS sebagai Pendidikan Perdamaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Peranan Pendidikan IPS dalam Pencegahan Konflik Melalui Pendidikan Perdamaian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Kualitatif Deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menganalisis sumber dokumen dan literatur. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pendidikan IPS merupakan bagian dari sistem pendidikan nasional yang bertujuan untuk membangun warga negara yang baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Banyak sikap-sikap yang baik untuk dikembangkan dan untuk membangun sebuah masyarakat dan dunia yang baik. Sikap tersebut antara lain: menghormati diri sendiri, toleransi, empati, keadilan, kejujuran, tidak saling mencurigai, persahabatan, kerjasama, saling pengertian, dan keadilan. Pada dasarnya, jika perdamaian dunia dapat dicapai, maka konflik dapat dicegah.
