Developing Micro Teaching book for Teaching Micro Teaching Course in English Education Department Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar yang dibutuhkan untuk membangun konsep dan prinsip-prinsip micro teaching siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam rangka menciptakan mengajar bahan ajar micro berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 dalam bentuk buku, karena tidak ada buku yang tersedia tentang hal itu belum. Penelitian ini menggunakan campuran paradigma pendekatan metode yang menggabungkan antara pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pendekatan kualitatif akan digunakan pada langkah pertama dan langkah kedua. Langkah pertama adalah ketika merancang cetak biru dan langkah kedua adalah ketika mengembangkan buku teks microteaching. Untuk pendekatan kuantitatif akan digunakan pada validasi Microteaching buku melalui uji empiris dengan melakukan uji lapangan. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan dengan menerapkan penelitian dan pengembangan desain dengan mengikuti desain Sugiyono ini. Ada beberapa mata pelajaran dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, visi, misi, dan tujuan Jurusan Pendidikan yang memberikan informasi tentang kompetensi yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa dalam belajar Microteaching. Kedua, dosen microteaching di Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Sebagai ahli dari microteaching, peneliti perlu komentar dan saran mereka untuk membuat buku microteaching lebih baik.
Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa materi pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan untuk membangun konsep dan prinsip-prinsip micro teaching siswa adalah Micro Teaching buku teks. Micro Teaching buku yang telah dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini berbeda dengan buku-buku Pengajaran Mikro lainnya karena mengandung strategi pengajaran dan pembelajaran di kelas berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013, merek kurikulum baru yang diterapkan di sebagian besar sekolah tinggi saat ini. Selain itu, kualitas buku Pengajaran Mikro yang telah dihasilkan sangat baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh sejenis dan baik rating yang diberikan oleh dua hakim ahli micro teaching untuk setiap unit buku ini. Validitas isi per unit buku ini secara keseluruhan lebih dari 0,90. Ini berarti bahwa validitas isi dari buku ini bagus, sehingga dapat diterapkan dalam praktik nyata.

This study aimed at developing instructional materials needed to build students’ concept and principles of micro teaching. This research is conducted in order to create micro teaching instructional materials based on Curriculum 2013 in the form of textbook, since there are no textbooks provided about it yet. This study used mixed method approach paradigm which combines between qualitative and quantitative approach. Qualitative approach had been used on the first step and the second step. The first step is designing the blue print and the second step is developing the microteaching textbook. The validation of microteaching textbook had been conducted through the empirical test by doing field testing. This research had been done by applying research and development design by following Sugiyono’s design. There are some subjects in this research. First, vision, mission, and purpose of English Educational Department which gives information about competencies which must be mastered by the students in learning Microteaching. Second, the microteaching lecturers in Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. As the experts of microteaching, the researcher needs their comments and suggestions in order to make the microteaching textbook better.
From the result of the study, it was found out that the instructional material needed to build students’ concept and principles of micro teaching is Micro Teaching textbook. The Micro Teaching book which had developed in this research is different to any other Micro Teaching books because it contains of the teaching and learning strategies in the classroom based on Curriculum 2013, the brand new curriculum which is applied in most high school nowadays. In addition, the quality of Micro Teaching book produced is very good. It is indicated by the similar and good rating given by the two expert judges of micro teaching for each unit of this book. The content validity per unit of this book is overall more than 0.90. It means that the content validity of this book is good, so that it can be applied in the real practice.
