Pengaruh Penggunaan Diary Book Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Bahasa Inggris Ditinjau Dari Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas X SMK Restumuning Perean
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan kemampuan menulis Bahasa Inggris antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan diary book dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) perbedaan kemampuan menulis Bahasa Inggris antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan diary book dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional, setelah dikendalikan variabel motivasi belajar, (3) besar kontribusi motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan menulis Bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas X SMK Restumuning. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis varians satu jalur dan analisis kovarian (Anakova) 1 jalur dengan uji-F. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan“ post-test only control group design”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Siswa kelas X SMK Restumuning yang terdiri dari empat rombongan belajar. Teknik sampling yang digunakan untuk menentukan sampel adalah teknik random sampling, dari empat rombongan belajar satu kelas diambil sebagai kelompok eksperimen (kelas yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan diary book) dan satu kelas sebagai kelompok kontrol (kelas yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional) dengan teknik undian. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menulis bahasa inggris antara siswa yang mengikuti pelajaran menggunakan diary book dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas X SMK Restumuning dengan FHitung = 75,224 dengan signifikansi = 0,000 (p < 0,05), (2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menulis bahasa inggris antara siswa yang mengikuti pelajaran menggunakan diary book dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional, setelah diadakan pengendalian pengaruh variabel motivasi belajar siswa dengan Fhitung = 118,805; dan (3) terdapat kontribusi yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa dengan kemampuan menulis bahasa inggris siswa kelas X SMK Restumuning dengan kontribusi sebesar 11,8 % melalui persamaan garis regresi = 20,418 + 0,353

(2) differences of writing ability in English between students taught by using diary book and students taught by using conventional teaching model that has been controlled by learning motivation variable.(3) Contribution number of learning motivation towards writing ability in English for Tenth Grade students of Restumuning Vocational School.The data obtained were analyzed by one way variant analysis and one way analysis covariant by F-test.This study is about experiment study by post –test only control group design plan. The population in this study was all students in tenth grade of Restumuning Vocational School who consists of four learning groups. Sampling technique used to decide the sample was random sampling technique. From those four learning groups, one group was taken as exsperiment group ( a class that taught by using diary book). And one class as control group ( a class that taught by using conventional teaching model.The result indicated that (1) there was a different writing ability in English between the students taught by using instructional model with diary book technique and those who taught by using a conventional instruction in tenth grade students of Restumuning vocational school with FHitung = 75,224 (2)There was a different writing ability in English between the students taught by using instructional model with diary book technique and those who taught by using conventional instruction, after effect of students learning motivation was reined with Fhitung = 118,805 and (3) there was a positive contribution and significant between student learning motivation with writing ability in English in tenth grade students of Restumuning vocational school, there was 11,8% contribution through regression line equal = 20,418 + 0,353 X.
