Kontribusi Gaya Kepemimpinan, Supervisi dan Jenis Kuasa Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Disiplin Guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Mengwi

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya: (1) kontribusi gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap disiplin guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Mengwi, (2) kontribusi supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap disiplin guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Mengwi, (3) kontribusi jenis kuasa kepala sekolah terhadap disiplin guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Mengwi, (4) kontribusi bersama-sama gaya kepemimpinan, supervisi, dan jenis kuasa kepala sekolah terhadap disiplin guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Mengwi.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SD yang berstatus Negeri di Kecamatan Mengwi yang berjumlah 615 orang. Sebanyak 87 orang dipilih sebagai sampel dengan tehnik simpel random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah (1) kuesioner gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, (2) kuesioner supervisi kepala sekolah, (3) kuesioner jenis kuasa kepala sekolah dan (4) kuesioner disiplin guru. Tehnik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi.
Dari hasil analisis ditemukan (1) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan disiplin guru melalui persamaan garis regresi
Y = 145,47 + 0,153X1 dengan F hitung 64,779. Variabel gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memberikan kontribusi sebesar 38,5% terhadap disiplin guru, (2) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara supervisi kepala sekolah dengan disiplin guru melalui persamaan garis regresi Y= 148,194 + 0,099X2 dengan kontribusi sebesar 3,2%, (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kuasa kepala sekolah dengan disiplin guru melalui persamaan garis regresi Y=139,14+ 0,200X3 dengan kontribusi sebesar 59,2%, (4) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan secara bersama-sama antara gaya kepemimpinan, supervisi, dan jenis kuasa kepala sekolah dengan disiplin guru melalui persamaan garis regresi Ỹ= 99,484 + 0,144X1 + 0,117X2 + 0,199X3 dengan kontribusi sebesar 99,6%.
Melalui korelasi parsial diperoleh : (1) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan dengan disiplin guru dengan mengendalikan variabel supervisi dan jenis kuasa kepala sekolah ( r1y-2.3 = 1,600, P < 0,05 ) dengan kontribusi parsial 99,1%, (2) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara supervisi dengan disiplin guru dengan mengendalikan variabel gaya kepemimpinan dan jenis kuasa kepala sekolah ( r2y-1.3 = 1,600, P < 0,05 ) dengan kontribusi parsial sebesar 93,4%, (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kuasa kepala sekolah dengan disiplin guru dengan menegendalikan variabel gaya kepemimpinan dan supervisi kepala sekolah ( r3y-1.2 = 1,600 P < 0,005) dengan kontribusi parsial sebesar 99,5%.
Berdasarkan temuan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara terpisah dan simultan terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan, supervisi dan jenis kuasa kepala sekolah dengan disiplin guru. Dengan demikian variabel gaya kepemimpinan, supervisi, dan jenis kuasa kepala sekolah dapat dijadikan prediktor tingkat kecendrungan disiplin guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Mengwi.

This study aims to determine the amount of: (1) the contribution of the leadership style of school principles toward the discipline of elementary school teachers in Mengwi, (2) the contribution of school principal’s supervision toward the dicipline of elementary school teacher in Mengwi , (3) the contribution of the principal types of authority toward the discipline of elementary school teacher in Mengwi, (4) the simultaneous contributions of leadership style , supervision, and the type of the principal’s authority toward the discipline of public elementary school teachers in the District of Mengwi.
The population in this study are all public elementary school teachers in the District of Mengwi totaling 615 people.There were 87 people were selected as sample by simple random sampling technique. The instruments used were (1) the principal's leadership style questionnaire, (2) the school’s principle questionnaires , (3) the school principal’s types of authority questionnaires and (4) the teacher’s dicipline questionnaire. The data were analyzed by regression technique.
From the analysis it was found that (1) there was a significant relationship between the principal leadership style with the teacher’s discipline through regression line
Y = 145.47 + 0,153X1 with F count 64.779. The variable of principal leadership style contributed 38.5% toward the discipline of teachers, (2) there was a significant relationship between supervision of the school principal toward the disciplineof teachers through regression line equation Y = 148.194 + 0,099X2 with a contribution of 3.2%, (3 ) there was a significant relationship between the type of the principal’s authority toward the discipline of teachers through regression line equation Y = 139.14 + 0,200X3 with a contribution of 59.2%, (4) there was a significant relationship simultaneously between leadership styles, supervision, and the kind of the principal’s authority toward the discipline of teachers through regression line equation Y = 99.484 + 0,144X1 + 0,117X2 + 0,199X3 with a contribution of 99.6%.
Through partial correlation, it was found that: (1) there was a significant relationship between leadership style toward teacher discipline by controlling the variable of supervision and type of principal’s authority (r1y2.3 = 1.600, P <0.05) with a partial contribution of 99.1%, (2 ) there was a significant relationship between supervision toward the teacher’s discipline by controlling the variables of leadership style and the type of the principal’s authority (r2y 1.3 = 1.600, P <0.05) with a partial contribution amounted to 93.4%, (3) there was a significant relationship between the principal types of authority toward the discipline of teachers by controlling the variable of leadership style and supervision of the school principal (r3y1.2 = 1.600 P <0.005) with a partial contribution of 99.5%.
Based on these findings it could be concluded that separately and simultaneously there was a significant contribution of the style of leadership, supervision and type of the principal’s authority toward the discipline of teachers. Thus, the leadership style variable, supervision, and the authority of the principal types can be used as the predictors of the degrees of tendency in the discipline of elementary school teachers in the District of Mengwi.
