Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : besarnya determinasi gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, dan kompensasi terhadap kinerja guru SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar, secara terpisah maupun secara simultan.
Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru yang berstatus Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) pada SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar yang berjumlah 139 orang, banyaknya anggota sampel yang diambil berjumlah 100 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan proporsional random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan ex-post facto. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner. Data dianalisis dengan teknik regresi, korelasi dan analisis determinasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah merupakan determinan terhadap kinerja guru melalui persamaan garis regresi Ŷ = 57,690+ 0,617 X1 (Fhitung = 69.47 : p<0,05) dengan kontribusi sebesar 41,47% dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 20,54%, (2) motivasi kerja merupakan determinan terhadap kinerja guru melalui persamaan garis regresi Ŷ = 23,543+ 0,806X2 (Fhitung = 61.265 : p<0,05) dengan kontribusi sebesar 38,44% dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 18,58%, (3) kompensasi merupakan determinan terhadap kinerja guru melalui persamaan garis regresi = 61,880+ 0,630X3 (Fhitung = 74,54 : p<0,05) dengan kontribusi sebesar 43,16% dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 25,81%, (4) secara bersama – sama gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, dan kompensasi merupakan determinan terhadap kinerja guru melalui persamaan garis regresi Ŷ = 43,648+ 0,603X1 + 0,058X2 + 0,342X3 (Fhitung = 59,044 : p<0,05) dengan kontribusi sebesar 64,80% dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 64,93%. Hasil analisis parsial menunjukkan r1y-23 = 0.405 p<0,05, r2y-13 = 0.390 p<0,05, r3y-12 = 0.498 p<0,05.
Berdasarkan temuan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, dan kompensasi merupakan determinan yang signifikan terhadap kinerja guru SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar secara terpisah maupun simultan. Dengan demikian ketiga faktor tersebut dapat dijadikan prediktor tingkat kecenderungan kineja guru SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar. Implikasi praktis yang dapat dikembangkan dari penelitian ini dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja guru SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar, adalah menumbuhkan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang efektif, meningkatkan motivasi kerja dan meningkatkan kompensasi.

The study was conducted in order to figure out the extent of determination of the headmaster’s leadership styles, working motivation, and compensation towards the teachers’ performances at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar, separately as well as simultaneously.
The populations were the total number of 139 permanent teaching staff members at the SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar, from which only 100 respondents were chosen as the samples determined based on proportional random sampling. The study utilized annex-post facto design, the data required were collected by using questionnaires and analyzed using regression, correlation and determination techniques.
The findings indicated that: (1) headmaster’s leadership styles was a determinant towards teachers’ performances based on regression equation line Ŷ = 57,690+ 0,617 X1 (Fobserved = 69.47 : p<0,05) with contributing value 41,47% and effective contribution of 20,54%, (2) working motivation was a determinant of the teacher’s performances based on the regression equation line Ŷ = 23,543+ 0,806X2 (Fobserved = 61.265 : p<0,05) with contributing value of 38,44% and effective contribution of 18,58%, (3) compensation was a determinant toward teacher’s performances based on the regression equation line = 61,880+ 0,630X3 (Fobserved = 74,54 : p<0,05) with a contributing value of 43,16% and effective contribution in of 25,81%, (4) there was a simultaneous determinant of the headmaster’s leadership styles, working motivation ang compensation towards the teacher’s performances based on the regression equation line Ŷ = 43,648+ 0,603X1 + 0,058X2 + 0,342X3 (Fobservedt = 59,044 : p<0,05) with a contributing of 64,80% and effective contribution of 64,93%. The result of partial analysis indicated that r1y-23 = 0.405 p<0,05, r2y-13 = 0.390 p<0,05, r3y-12 = 0.498 p<0,05.
Based on the findings it could be concluded that the headmaster’s leadership styles, working motivation, and compensation were significant determinant towards teachers’ performances at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar either separately and simultaneously. Accordingly, the three factors above could become predictor of the tendency level of the teachers’ performances at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar.The practical implication of the study in order to improve the teachers’ performances was that toencourage an effective headmaster’s leadership styles, improve working motivation and increase compensation.
