EKSPERIMENTASI METODE PEMBELAJARAN EKSPOSITORI BERBANTUAN PETA TEMATIK TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR GEOGRAFI DENGAN KOVARIABEL MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI PADA SISWA KELAS XI IPS SMAN I KUTA BADUNG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013-2014
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan hasil belajar geografi antara siswa yang mengikuti metode pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan peta tematik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional, (2) perbedaan hasil belajar geografi antara siswa yang mengikuti metode pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan peta tematik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional, setelah dikendalikan variabel motivasi berprestasi, (3) besar kontribusi motivasi berprestasi terhadap hasil belajar geografi pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMA N I Kuta. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis varians satu jalur dan analisis kovarian (Anakova) 1 jalur dengan uji-F. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan“ post test only control group design”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri I Kuta yang terdiri dari tiga rombongan belajar. Teknik sampling yang digunakan untuk menentukan sampel adalah teknik random sampling, dari tiga rombongan belajar yang ada diambil secara random satu kelas sebagai sampel, satu kelas diambil sebagai kelompok eksperimen (kelas yang mengikuti pembelajaran metode pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan peta tematik) dan satu kelas sebagai kelompok kontrol (kelas yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional) dengan teknik undian. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Ada perbedaan hasil belajar geografi siswa yang mengikuti pelajaran dengan metode pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan peta tematik dan hasil belajar geografi siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional dengan FHitung = 20,774 dengan signifikansi = 0,000 (p < 0,05), (2) Ada perbedaan hasil belajar geografi siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan peta tematik dan hasil belajar geografi siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode pembelajar an konvensional setelah diadakan pengendalian pengaruh motivasi berprestasi dengan Fhitung = 30,063 (p<0,05); dan (3) terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi terhadap hasil belajar geografi pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri I Kuta dengan kontribusi sebesar 27,9 % melalui persamaan garis regresi = 1,553 + 0,160 X.

The Objective of this recent study is to know (1) the different between geography learning result of the students that joint expository learning method using thematic map and the students that joint conventional learning, (2)the different between geographic learning result of the students that joint expository conventional learning after controlling by achievement motivation variable, (3) how far the contribution of achievement motivation toward geography learning result of social XI grade students in SMAN I Kuta. The data is analyzes by using variant analyzed with one-way ANOVA and ANCOVA with F-test. This study is an experiment research with post test only control group design. The population are all social XI grade students in SMAN I Kuta that devided into three classes. The random sampling technique is applied to determine the sample. One class is taken as sample randomly, one class is taken as experiment group (a class that joint expository learning method using thematic map) and another class control group (a class that joint conventional learning). The result of the study showed that (1) there is a different between student geography learning result that joint expository learning method using thematic map and the students that joint conventional learning with F observed = 20,774 with significanty = 0,000 (p<0,05), (2) there is a different between student geography learning result that joint expository learning method using thematic map and the students that joint conventional learning after controlling by achievement motivation with by F observed = 30,063 (p<0,05); and (3) there is significant from achievement motivation for geography learning result of social XI grade students in SMAN I Kuta with 27,9 % as shown by linear regression equation = 1,553 + 0,160X
