KONTRIBUSI GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH, KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA GURU IPS SE-KABUPATEN TABANAN

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kompetensi profesional, dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru-guru IPS SMA Negeri se Kabupaten Tabanan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 140 guru sedangkan sampel berjumlah 88 guru IPS. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah ex-post facto. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan regresi sederhana, korelasi sederhana, korelasi ganda, regresi ganda, dan korelasi parsial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru dengan determinasi sebesar 21% dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 15,94%, (2) terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara kompetensi profesional terhadap kinerja guru dengan determinasi sebesar 13% dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 7,72%, (3) terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru dengan determinasi sebesar 14% dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 8,04%, dan (4) secara bersama-sama terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kompetensi profesional, dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru dengan determinasi sebesar 29,2% dan kontribusi sebesar 31,7%. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara terpisah maupun simultan, terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kompetensi profesional, dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru-guru IPS SMA se-Kabupaten Tabanan. Dengan demikian ketiga faktor tersebut dapat dijadikan prediktor tingkat kecenderungan kinerja guru-guru IPS SMA se-Kabupaten Tabanan.

This research aims at knowing the contribution of school principal’s leadership style, profesional competency, and working motivation on social science teachers’ performance in Tabanan Regency. The population of this study were 140 teachers and the sample of this research were 88 teachers. This research used ex-post facto design. The data were collected by using questionnaires and analyzed by using simple regression, simple correlation, multiple correlation, multiple regression, and partial correlation. The result shows that: (1) there is significant contribution of school principal’s leadership style on social science teachers’ performance in Tabanan regency determination power of 21% and effective contribution 15.94%, (2) there is significant contribution of profesional competency on social science teachers’ performance in Tabanan regency with determination power of 13% and effective contribution of 7,72%, (3) there is significant contribution of working motivation on social science teachers’ performance in Tabanan regency with determination power of 14% and effective contribution of 8.04%, and (4) simultaneously, there is significant contribution of school principal leadership style, profesional competency, and working motivation on social science teachers’ performance in Tabanan regency with determination power of 29.2% and contribution of 31.7%. Based on those findings, it can be concluded that separately and simultaneously there is significant contribution among leadership style, profesional competency, and working motivation on social science teacher’s performance in Tabanan regency. So, those three factors can be used as the determinant on predicting the tendency of social science teachers’ performance in Tabanan regency.
