PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL CORE TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA DENGAN KOVARIABEL PENALARAN SISTEMATIS PADA SISWA KELAS III GUGUS RADEN AJENG KARTINI KECAMATAN DENPASAR BARAT
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika melalui pengaruh model CORE dengan kovariabel penalaran sistematis. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III Gugus Raden Ajeng Kartini Kecamatan Denpasar Barat yang berjumlah 748 siswa. Sampel yang diambil jumlah 78 siswa dengan tehnik random sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah single factor independent groups design with use of covariat. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan penalaran sistematis dikumpulkan melalui tes, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji t untuk hipotesis pertama, uji anakova untuk hipotesis kedua dan uji regresi untuk hipotesis ketiga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran CORE dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) setelah penalaran sistematis dikendalikan terdapat perbedaan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelompok siswa yang mengikuti model CORE dengan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional, (3) terdapat kontribusi penalaran sistematis siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.

This research aims to investigate the difference in mathematics problem solving skill through the effect of CORE model with systematic thinking covariable. Population in this research was the entire third grade students Cluster Raden Ajeng KartiniKecamatan Denpasar Barat which consisted of 748 students. Seventy eight students were selected as sample using random sampling technique. The research design was single factor independent groups design with the use of covariate. Data on mathematics problem solving skill and systematic thinking were gathered using test and analyzed using t-test for hypothesis I, ANACOVA for hypothesis II, and regression for hypothesis III. The results show that: First, there is a difference in mathematics problem solving skill between students who learned using CORE learning model and students who learned using conventional learning model. Second, after systematic thinking being controlled, there is a difference in mathematics problem solving skill between students who learned using CORE learning model and students who learned using conventional learning model. Third, there is a contribution of systematic thinking on students’ mathematics problem solving skill.
