PENGARUH PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN NUMERIK PADA SISWA KELAS VI GUGUS SUKAWATI III
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik ditinjau dari kemampuan numerik siswa sekolah dasar kelas VI Gugus Sukawati III. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan desain factorial 2 X 2. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI di Gugus Sukawati III pada Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 76 orang siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan numerik untuk mengetahui kemampuan numerik siswa dan tes hasil belajar matematika untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANAVA 2 jalan dan uji lanjut menggunakan uji Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matematika yang signifikan antara siswa yang menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik dan siswa menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan kemampuan numerik terhadap hasil belajar matematika; (3) untuk siswa yang memiliki kemampuan numerik tinggi, hasil belajar matematika siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional dan; (4) untuk siswa yang memiliki kemampuan numerik rendah, hasil belajar matematika siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik.

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of realistic mathematics learning approach viewed from the numerical competence of the sixth graders of elementary schools at Cluster Sukawati III. The study was a quasi experiment employing a 2 x 2 factorial design. The population of the study comprised all six graders at Cluster Sukawati III in Academic Year 2014/2015, and the number of sample was 76 students altogether. Data were collected by using a numerical competence test to find out the students’ numerical competence and a mathematics learning achievement test to find out their learning achievement in mathematics. The data collected were analyzed by using a two-way ANOVA and a follow-up test using the Tukey test. The results of the study reveal that: (1) there is a significant difference in mathematics learning achievement between the students who learned using realistic mathematics learning approach and those who learned under the conventional learning approach; (2) there is an interaction effect between learning approach and numerical competence toward mathematics learning achievement; (3) as far as the students with high numerical competence are concerned, the mathematics learning achievement of the students learning with realistic mathematics learning approach is better than those learning under the conventional learning approach; (4) as far as the students with low numerical competence are concerned, the learning achievement of the students attending the conventional learning approach is better than those obtaining the realistic mathematics learning approach
