EVALUASI RELEVANSI KINERJA PROGRAM STUDI KRIYA KAYU DALAM MENDUKUNG KEBUTUHAN DUNIA USAHA DAN DUNIA INDUSTRI PADA SMK N 2 SUKAWATI

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui relevansi kinerja Program Studi Kriya Kayu dalam mendukung kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri. Yang dilihat dari variabel konteks, input, proses dan produk. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian ex post facto dengan mengadopsi model CIPP. Penelititan ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 2 Sukawati. Respondennya adalah : kepala sekolah,staf manajemen, ketua program studi, guru, pegawai tata usaha,dan dunia usaha / dunia industri pasangan program Studi Kriya Kayu SMK N 2 Sukawati. Dengan jumlah responden 49 orang diambil dengan cara sampling jenuh. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan  kuesioner dengan model pengukuran skala Liekert untuk memperoleh  data utama, yang didukung oleh data hasil wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Skor ditransformasikan kedalam T-skor kemudian disesuaikan dengan prototipe Glickman.

Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa: kinerja Program Studi Kriya Kayu SMK N 2 Sukawati dengan hasil analisis T-skor Konteks, Input, Proses, dan Produk dengan hasil  ( - + - - ). Terkatagori kurang relevan dalam mendukung kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri, berarti dari variabel konteks tidak relevan,variabel input relevan,  variabel proses tidak relevan, dan variabel produk tidak relevan.

Berdasakan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja Program Studi Kriya Kayu SMK N 2 Sukawati kurang relevan dalam mendukung kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri,disebabkan oleh komponen konteks, proses dan produk yang belum mendukung. Untuk meningkatkan relevansi kinerjanya dalam mendukung kebutuhan dunia usaha dan industri perlu dilakukan: (1) selalu mengedepankan kualitas dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan sesuai kepentingan pelanggan sehingga tamatan memenuhi kriteria pasar, (2) perlu merevisi program keahlian yang tidak relevan dan membuka program baru dengan mengutamakan desain-desain produk yang mengikuti selera pasar, (3) untuk guru-guru produktif di kriya kayu hendaknya selalu meningkatkan kompetensi melalui lokakarya, magang dan berkarya guna meningkatkan profesionalisme sesuai bidang studi yang diampunya.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed at finding out the relevance of Woodcraft Division of SMK Negeri 2 Sukawati to the meeting of the demands of businesses and industries.The focus of this study was on the context, input, process and product variables. This study used ex post facto design that adopted the CIPP model. This study was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Sukawati. The respondents were the school principal, managerial staff, the head of the division, teachers, administrators and people from businesses / industries that were the counterparts of the Woodcraft Division of SMK N 2 Sukawati. With the total of respondents of 49 persons drawn through saturated sampling, the data collection was done by using Leikert scale of the measurement to collect the main data,supported by data of the results of questionnaire, observation, and document recording.The scores were converted into T-scores which were then calibratedwith Clickman protype.

Data analysis was done by quantitative-descriptive analysis. The results showed that the performaces of the Woodcraft Division of SMK N 2 Sukawati in terms of the T-scores of Context, Input, Process, and Product were (- + - -). This findings fall into less relevant category in the meetimg of the demands of businesses and industries. There is a need to (1) always prioritize the quality in conducting education in accordance with the interest of the costomers in such a way that the graduates can meet the market criteria, (2) revise the specialist program that is not relevan and open a new one that prioritize product designs that suit the taste of the customers (market), (3) there is a need for the productive teachers to always improve competencies through workshops, apprentices and produce things to improve professionalism in accordance with the courses that they teach.
