Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation Berbantuan Masalah Open-ended Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Ditinjau Dari Potensi Akademik Siswa.
Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of the cooperatif learning model by using group investigation aided by open-ended problem toward mathematics problem solving ability in terms of students academic potential. This research was a quasi experimental research with 22 factorial arrangement. This research was conducted at the SMP Negeri 1 Terara which involved 153 students. This sample was determined by cluster random sampling technique. The instrument was used in this research was students academic potential test and mathematics problem solving ability test. The collected data was analyzed by using tow-way variance analysis and tuckey’s test. The results showed that: 1) students mathematics problem solving ability who followed cooperatif learning model by using group investigation aided by open-ended problem was better than students problem solving ability who followed lesson with the coventional is group discussion (FA = 67.91, Ftabel = 3.16, Fhitung > Ftabel). After conducting tuckey test, the result showed that: the students who have high or low academic potential, the students mathematics problem solving ability who followed cooperatif learning model by using group investigation aided by open-ended problem was better than students problem solving ability who followed lesson with the coventional (Qhitung =10.006 dan 6.476 , Qtabel = 3.90, Qhitung > Qtabel. 2) There was no interaction between the model of learning and students academic potential toward students mathematics problem solving ability (FAB = 3.16, Ftabel = 3.94, Fhitung < Ftabel). We can be conclude that, The students who have high or low academic potential, the students mathematics problem solving ability who followed cooperatif learning model by using group investigation aided by open-ended problem.
