STUDI KUANTITATIF DAN KUALITATIF TENTANG PENGARUH BLENDED LEARNING BERBASIS VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DITINJAU DARI TINGKAT KECERDASAN LOGIS SISWA SMP NEGERI 1 TABANAN
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran blended learning berbasis video lebih tinggi dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kombinasi dengan menggunakan concurrent mixed methods yang merupakan prosedur dalam penelitian peneliti yang menggabungkan dan menyatukan data kuantitatif dengan data kualitatif. Penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan rancangan Posttest Only Control Design sementara penelitian kualitatif menggunakan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 524 siswa dari seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tabanan. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik cluster random sampling dilakukan setelah diuji kesetaraannya. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji ANAVA Dua Jalur. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa diperoleh dari hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh menggunakan angket, wawancara semi terbuka, dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Blended learning berbasis video berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa, (2) Pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan logis lebih tinggi, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran blended learning berbasis video lebih tinggi dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional, (3) Pada kelompok siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan logis lebih rendah, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran blended learning berbasis video lebih tinggi dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional, (4) Blended learning berbasis video terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.Hasil penelitian kualitatif juga disajikan dalam bentuk uraian singkat, diagram, dan bukti fisik. Hasil penelitian kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa (1) Setelah belajar dengan blended learning berbasis video pembelajaran matematika menjadikan siswa semangat dan lebih bergairah dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika. (2) Setelah belajar dengan blended learning berbasis video pembelajaran matematika menjadikan siswa lebih mandiri dan lebih berani mengemukakan pendapat atau kesulitannya saat belajar dalam diskusi secara online

The present study aims at finding whether there are differences in mathematical problem- solving abilities among students taking blended learning video based learning and conventional learning. This study is a combination of utilizing concurrent mixed methods that is the procedures in the study in which the researcher combines and unites quantitative data with qualitative data. The quantitative research used Posttest Only Control Design while desciptie analysis was used in the qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 524 students of all the eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Tabanan. The sampling with random cluster technique was carried out after tested equality.The obtained data were analized by utilizing two lanes of ANAVA test. The data of students problem solving skills were obtained through problem solving ability test whereas the qualitative data were obtained by using questionnaire, semi- opened interview, and observation. The result of quantitative research indicated that (1) Blended learning video based learning took positive effect towards mathematical problem- solving abilities of the students, (2) In the group of students that had higher logical intelligence, mathematical problem solving ability of students that took blended learning video based learning was higher than the ability of students that took conventional learning, (3) In the group of students that had lower logical intelligence, mathematical problem solving ability of students that took blended learning video based learning was higher than the ability of students that took conventional learning, (4) Blended learning based on video based learning was proven to improve mathematical problem- solving abilities of the students. The result of qualitative research was also presented in the form of brief descriptions, diagrams, and physical evidence. Qualitative research results show that (1) After studying the blended learning video based learning makes students more enthusiastic spirit and in solving mathematical problems. (2) Upon learning with blended learning video based learning makes the students more independent and more willing to express opinions or difficulty when learning in an online discussion
