Efektivitas Kepemimpinan Transformasioanal Kepala Sekolah dalam TQE (Studi di SMP Santu Klaus Kuwu, Ruteng, Flores)

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan; a) bentuk aktivitas kepala sekolah dalam memimpin; b) kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam membangun kultur positif sekolah; c) efektivitas kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam TQE. Informan dalam penelitian ini ialah kepala sekolah, guru, pegawai, siswa, yayasan dan tokoh masyarakat. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus dalam paradigma kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi dokumen dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah bertalian dengan upaya mengembangkan sekolah menuju kemajuan yang positif. Kultur sekolah menuntut perilaku kepemimpinan transformasional yang menjamin penerapan TQE, mencakup empat karakter, yaitu karisma, motivasi inspirasi, rangsangan intelektual dan perhatian individu.

This study was aimed at describing a) the form of activity of principal in leading; b) principal’s transformational leadership in building the school positive culture; c) transformational leadership effectiveness in TQE. The informant in this study were principal, teachers, workers, students, people from the foundation and community leaders. This study was a case study in a qualitative paradigm. The data were collected through observation, interview, document study and questionnaire. The results showed that principal’s leadership activity was related to the effort to develop the school toward a posive development. The school culture requires transformational leadership behaviors guarentees the implementation of TQE, covers four characters, i.e., idealized influence/ charisma, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration.
