KONTRIBUSI KOMPETENSI KEPALA SEKOLAH, KOMITMEN KERJA GURU, DAN BUDAYA SEKOLAH TERHADAP SEMANGGAT DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU SEKOLAH (STUDI PADA GURU SD SE-KECAMATAN KUTA UTARA)
Abstract
Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat kontribusi kompetensi kepala sekolah, komitmen kerja guru, dan budaya sekolah terhadap semanggat dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah di SD se-kecamatan Kuta Utara. Penelitian ini tergolong ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 554 orang dan terpilih 85 menjadi sampel penelitian dengan random sampling. Data kompetensi kepala sekolah, komitmen kerja guru, budaya sekolah dan semangat guru dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner model skala likert. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik dengan analisis regresi sederhana, analisis regresi ganda 3 prediktor dan sumbangan efektif. Temuan penelitian ini adalah; (1) terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara kompetensi kepala sekolah terhadap semangat guru dalam meningkatkan mutu dengan kontribusi sebesar 30,6%, (2) terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara komitmen guru terhadap semangat guru dalam meningkatakan mutu dengan kontribusi sebesar 8,7%, (3) terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara budaya sekolah terhadap semangat guru dalam meningkatkan mutu dengan kontribusi sebesar 48,2% dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 48,9%, dan (4) secara bersama-sama terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan kompetensi kepala sekolah, komitmen kerja guru, dan budaya sekolah terhadap semangat guru dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah di SD se kecamatan Kuta Utara dengan kontribusi sebesar 86,7%.

This study aims at discovering whether or not there is a significant the contribution of principal competency, working commitment, and school culture on elementari school teachers’ spirit to improve the quality of the school in North Kuta Subdistrict. This research is ex-post facto. The population of this research is 554 teachers and 85 teachers are selected by using random sampling. The data of school principal leadership style, teacher’s self-concept, and working satisfaction on Senior high school mathematics and natural science teachers’ professional competence were collected by using questionnaire with Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed by using simple regression, multiple regression with three predictors and effective contribution. This research discovers: (1) there is a significant contribution of school principal competency on teachers’ spirit with contribution of 30,6%, (2) there is a significant contribution of working commitment on teachers’ spirit with contribution of 8,7%, (3) there is a significant contribution of school culture on teachers’ spirit with contribution of 48,2%, and (4) simultanously, there is a significant contribution of school principal competency, working commitment, and school culture on elementary school teachers’ spirit to improve the quality of school in North Kuta subdistrict with contribution of 86,7%.
