ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN TERHADAP PROFIL KEMAMPUAN UMUM YANG DIPERLUKAN UNTUK MELAKSANAKAN TUGAS-TUGAS DI BENGKEL OTOMOTIF (STUDI PADA SMK DI BADUNG DAN BENGKEL OTOMOTIF DI DENPASAR)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dan mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan umum yang diperlukan untuk melaksanakan tugas-­tugas di bengkel otomotif. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksplora­tif. Bila dipandang dari bentuk permasalahannya, penelitian yang dilakukan ini tergolong penelitian “ex post facto” dengan teknik uji beda mean dan analisis faktor. Subyek yang dijadikan sasaran penelitian adalah para mekanik tamatan SMK/STM Program Studi Meka­nik Otomotif dan para guru SMK di Kabupaten Badung Program Studi Mekanik Otomotif. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah persepsi dunia kerja terhadap profil kemampuan umum untuk melaksanakan tugas-tugas di bengkel tergolong sangat diperlukan, sedangkan persepsi pihak SMK tergolong diperlukan dan ada perbedaan persepsi antara pihak dunia kerja dan pihak SMK mengenai profil kemampuan umum yang diperlukan untuk melaksanakan tugas-tugas di bengkel otomotif.

NEED ANALYSIS TO PUBLIC ABILITY PROFILE THAT IS NEEDED TO DO THE DUTIES IN AUTOMOTIVE WORKSHOP (A STUDY IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN BADUNG AND AUTOMOTIVE

ABSTRACT

This research is aimed to express and describe the public ability profile that is needed to do the duties in automotive workshop.        This research belongs to explorative research type. If it is seen from the problem shape, the research that is done is categorized “ex post facto” research with factor analysis and mean differential test technic. The subject that becomes the research target are mechanics graduated from Mechanic Automotive Study Program of vocational school and teachers of vocational school in Badung Regency Mechanic Automotive Study Program. Data is collected with quisioner. Result that are gotten industry world perception to public ability profile to do the duties in workshop is categorized very needful, while vocational school side perception is categorized needful and there is perception difference between industry world and vocational school side about the public ability profile that is needed to do the duties in automotive workshop.
