CITRA GURU DALAM FILM INDONESIA BERDASARKAN TINJAUAN PSIKOLOGI SASTRA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) jalinan unsur intrinsik film dalam merepresentasikan citra guru, (2) kondisi kejiwaan guru yang direpresentasikan dalam film ditinjau dari teori psikoanalisis Sigmun Freud, (3) kondisi kejiwaan guru yang direpresentasikan dalam film ditinjau dari teori holistik-dinamis Abraham Maslow, dan (4) citra guru yang direpresentasikan dalam film berkaitan dengan empat kompetensi guru. Subjek penelitian ialah film Indonesia. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Film yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian adalah film Laskar Pelangi, Semesta Mendukung, dan Serdadu Kumbang. Objek penelitian adalah citra guru. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode dokumentasi menggunakan kartu data. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verivikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) jalinan unsur intrinsik film memperlihatkan totalitas kemaknaan yang padu dalam merepresentasikan citra guru; (2) kondisi kejiwaan guru ditinjau dari teori psikoanalisis menunjukkan tiga temuan: pertama, tokoh guru cenderung sehat secara psikologis, id dan superego terintegrasi dalam ego dan beroperasi harmonis; kedua, guru kerap mengalami kecemasan realistis karena peka terhadap permasalahan siswa; ketiga, guru cenderung menggunakan mekanisme pertahanan sublimasi, mengalihkan emosi dengan melakukan tindakan yang bersifat konstruktif; (3) kondisi kejiwaan guru ditinjau dari teori holistik-dinamis adalah individu yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan fisiologis, keamanan, cinta dan keberadaan, penghargaan, hingga mencapai kebutuhan aktualisasi diri; (4) citra guru dalam film Indonesia terkait empat kompetensi guru adalah guru yang memiliki kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional. Berdasarkan temuan yang diperoleh, peneliti menyarankan kepada sutradara agar mempertahankan kreativitas dalam membuat film yang mengadaptasi masalah sosial bangsa seperti masalah pendidikan yang memuat citra guru.

The aims of this research are to describe (1) the intrinsic elements interrelation of films in representing teachers' image, (2) the psychiatric condition of teachers represented in films, which is observed from psychoanalysis theory of Sigmun Freud, (3) the psychiatric condition of teachers represented in film which is observed from the holistic-dynamic theory of Abraham Maslow, and (4) teachers' image which is represented in the film related with four competencies of teachers. The subject of this research are Indonesian films. The samples are determined by purposive sampling techniques, the films which are appropriate with the aims of the research are: the Laskar Pelangi, Semesta Mendukung, and Serdadu Kumbang films. The object of this research are the teachers' images. The data are collected by documentation methods using data cards. The data analysis is done by three steps, which are: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The result of this research shows: (1) the intrinsic element interrelation films show the solid totality of significance in representing teachers’ images; (2) the psychiatric condition of teachers seen from the psychoanalysis theory shows three important findings: first, the teachers figure tend to be healthy psychologically, id and superego are integrated into the ego and operate in harmony; second, teachers often experience a realistic anxiety because they are sensitive to their students' problems; third, teachers tend to use a defense mechanisms of sublimation, diverting emotion by doing a constructive action; (3) teachers' psychological condition viewed from the holistic-dynamic theory is that individual is able to fulfil their psychological, safety, love, and esteem to become self actualization; (4) the teachers’ image in Indonesian films relate with four teacher competence, they are: teachers who have pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competency. Based on the findings, the researcher suggest the film directors to keep their creativities in making film which adapting social problems of this country, such as education problems and teachers.
