PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MEMBACA BAHASA INGGRIS DITINJAU DARI MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI SISWA KELAS XI
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap hasil belajar membaca bahasa Inggris ditinjau dari motivasi berprestasi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Dawan tahun pembelajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimental Post-test Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 72 orang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan random sampling dengan teknik undian untuk memilih kelas. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan analisis varians (ANAVA) dua jalur melalui uji-F. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar membaca bahasa Inggris antara model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi siswa terhadap hasil belajar membaca bahasa Inggris, (3) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar membaca bahasa Inggris antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional untuk siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi tinggi, dan (4) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar membaca bahasa Inggris antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional untuk siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi rendah.

This research aimed to know the influence of the co-operative learning of STAD to the students achievement in reading English be reviewed to the students’ motivation achievement of students XI Grade at SMA N 1 Dawan in academic year 2013/ 2014. The research uses experimental design post test control group design. The sample of this research consists of 72 students which are chosen by simple random sampling to assign by lot to choose classroom. The data gained and formulated by using analyzes variances (ANAVA) two tracks through Fvalue. The result of this research indicates: (1) the averages achievement of reading English which is taught by using cooperative learning the STAD get higher mark than the students who taught by conventional approach, (2) There is an influent interaction between the learning model and the students’ motivation achievement to the result of student achievement in reading English, (3) students with higher motivation achievement, there are higher result of reading English to the students who taught by using co-operative learning the STAD with students taught by using conventional approach, and (4) for students who have lower motivation achievement, there are higher result of reading English to the students who taught by using co-operative learning the STAD with students taught by using conventional approach.
