PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (MPTGT) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI DAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL SISWA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan hasil belajar dan kecerdasan emosional antara siswa yang mengikuti MPTGT dengan MPL, (2) perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang mengikuti MPTGT dengan MPL, dan (3) perbedaan kecerdasan emosional antara siswa yang mengikuti MPTGT dengan MPL. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan desain penelitian posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA2 , XI IPA3 dan XI IPA4 SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Selatan tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 137 orang siswa, dengan sampel penelitian kelas XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3 berjumlah 91 orang siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif dan uji MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar dan Kecerdasan Emosional antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan MPTGT dan MPL (F=16,022; p<0,05), (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan MPTGT dan MPL (F=22,215; p<0,05, (3) terdapat perbedaan Kecerdasan Emosional antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan MPTGT dan MPL (F=10,307; p<0,05).

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to: (1) differences of learning outcomes and Emotional Intelligence between students who studied through Teams Games Tournament model and their counterparts who studied through direct learning model, (2) differences of learning outcomes between students who studied through Teams Games Tournament model and their counterparts who studied through direct learning model, and (3) differences of Emotional Intelligence between students who studied through Teams Games Tournament model and their counterparts who studied through direct learning model.This study was a quasi experimental study using posttest-only control group design.The population of the study was eleventh science two, eleventh science three and eleventh science four the students in SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Selatan in the academic year of 2013/2014 with a total population 137 students , The samples in this study consists of two classes, the students of eleventh science two and eleventh science three the number of 91 students. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and MANOVA.The result showed that (1) there is significant influence learning model of learning outcomes and Emotional Intelligence (F=16.022 p<0.05), (2) there are significant differences on variables of learning outcomes between students who studied through Teams Games Tournament model and their counterparts who studied through direct learning model (F=22.215; p<0.05), (3) there are significant differences on variables of Emotional Intelligence between students who studied through Teams Games Tournament model and their counterparts who studied through direct learning model (F=10.307; p<0.05).
