PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL SISWA SMP

Abstract


Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis: (1) perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kecerdasan emosional antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan konvensional, (2) perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan konvensional, dan (3) kemampuan kecerdasan emosional antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Pengambilan kelas penelitian menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan MANOVA satu jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran terhadap variabel-variabel kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kecerdasan emosional (F=41,134; p<0,05). Artinya, kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kecerdasan emosional secara bersama-sama menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antar model pembelajaran, (2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang signifikan antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan konvensional (F=75,638; p<0,05), dan (3) terdapat perbedaan kecerdasan emosional yang signifikan antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan konvensional (F=10,409; p<0,05).

The aims of this studys was to analyze: (1) the differences of problem solving ability and emotional intelligence between students who studied through project based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventional learning model, (2) the differences of problem solving ability between students who studied through project based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventional learning model, and (3) the differences of emotional intelligence between students who studied through project based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventional learning model. This study was a quasi experimental study using pretest posttest control group design. The samples of the class for this study was determined by simple random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and one way MANOVA. The result showed that: (1) there was significant influence learning model of problem solving ability and emotional intelligence (F=41.134, p<0.05). That is, problem solving ability and emotional intelligence together showed significant differences between the learning model, (2) there were significant differences on variables of problem solving ability between students who studied through project based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventioal learning model (F=75.638, p<0.05), and (3) there were significant differences on variables of emotional intelligence between students who studied through project based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventioal learning model (F=10.409, p<0.05).
