PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS NATURE OF SCIENCE (NOS) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN APLIKASI KONSEP BIOLOGI DAN PEMAHAMAN NOS SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI DI SMA NEGERI 1 MARGA
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan aplikasi konsep biologi dan pemahaman NoS antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis NoS dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung. (2) Menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan aplikasi konsep biologi antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis NoS dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung. (3) Menganalisis perbedaan pemahaman NoS antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis NoS dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi-Experiment) dengan rancangan Non-equivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Marga pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2013/ 2014. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling setelah uji kesetaraan dengan uji-t. Data yang diperlukan adalah data kemampuan aplikasi konsep biologi dan data pemahaman NoS siswa yang masing-masing diukur dengan tes bentuk uraian dengan reliabilitas masing-masing sebesar 0,630 dan 0,604. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis multivariat (MANOVA) yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Least Significance Difference (LSD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan aplikasi konsep biologi dan pemahaman NoS antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis NoS dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung (F=366,570; p<0,05). (2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan aplikasi konsep biologi antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis NoS dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung (F=449,443; p<0,05). (3) Terdapat perbedaan pemahaman NoS antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis NoS dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung (F=240,991; p<0,05). Hasil uji lanjut dengan LSD menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis NoS lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung (p<0,05).

(2) Analyze the differences of students’s biological concept application capabilities between students who take the NoS-based learning model to students who take a direct learning model. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and multivariate analysis ( MANOVA ) followed by LSD test. The results showed: (1) There are differences of students’s biological concept application capabilities and NoS understanding between students who take the NoS-based learning model to students who take a direct learning model (F = 366.570, p <0.05). (2) There is a differences of students’s biological concept application capabilities between students who take the NoS-based learning model to students who take a direct learning model (F = 449.443, p <0.05). (3) There is a differences of students’s NoS understanding between students who take the NoS-based learning model to students who take a direct learning model (F = 240.991, p <0.05). Further test results with LSD showed that NoS-based learning model is superior compared with the direct learning model (p <0.05).
