Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) Berbasis Pendekatan Saintifik Dengan Multirepresentasi Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa SMA Kelas X MIPA

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan multirepresentasi yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA kelas X MIPA. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan. LKS berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan multirepresentasi divalidasi oleh 2 orang dosen ahli media dan 10 orang praktisi pendidikan di sekolah yang menyelenggarakan kurikulum 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lembar kerja siswa berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan multirepresentasi valid dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Respon guru dan siswa berada pada kategori setuju terhadap penggunaan LKS berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan multirepresentasi. LKS berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan multirepresentasi menunjukkan efektifitas yang baik di kelas dengan kemampuan akademik tinggi dan kemampuan akademik sedang, namun belum menunjukkan efektifitas yang baik ketika digunakan di kelas dengan kemampuan akademik rendah.

The purpose of this research is to develop and to produce a valid, practical and effective student worksheet based on the scientific approach with multiple representation, to improve the science process skills of the 10th grade students of science class. The 4D model with four development stages (Define, Design, Development and Dissemination) was used in this research. This model was developed by Thiagarajan. The student worksheet was validated by two learning media experts and ten educational practitioners from some schools that already implemented the curriculum of 2013. The results show that the student worksheet based on the scientific approach with multiple representation is valid and is practical to be used in a science learning class to improve the student’s process skill. Teachers and students agree to use this student worksheets in their learning class. In conclusion, this student worksheet based on the scientific approach with multiple representation is effective to be used for the classes with high and moderate academic ability, but it is not effective to be used in a class with low academic ability.
