PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SAINS TEKNOLOGI MASYARAKAT DAN LINGKUNGAN TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR DAN SIKAP ILMIAH SISWA

Abstract


ABSTRAK

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis: (1) perbedaan hasil belajar dan sikap ilmiah antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran STML dan siswa yang belajar model pembelajaran langsung, (2) perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran STML dan siswa yang belajar model pembelajaran langsung, (3) perbedaan sikap ilmiah antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran STML dan siswa yang belajar model pembelajaran langsung.

Penelitian ini tergolong eksperimen semu dengan rancangan non-equivalent post-test only control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Patas tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 yang terdiri atas 4 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 127 orang. Sampel diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes hasil belajar dan kuesioner sikap ilmiah. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan MANOVA satu jalur.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar dan sikap ilmiah antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran STML dan siswa yang belajar model pembelajaran langsung, (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran STML dan siswa yang belajar model pembelajaran langsung, (3) terdapat perbedaan sikap ilmiah antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran STML dan siswa yang belajar model pembelajaran langsung. Kondisi dan jumlah fasilitas penunjang berupa alat dan bahan percobaan yang tersedia di laboratorium sekolah kurang memadai, sehingga sulit untuk mengoptimalkan kinerja masing-masing individu siswa. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan beberapa siswa cenderung pasif dan bahkan ada yang mengganggu teman-temannya. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada pihak sekolah agar lebih mengoptimalkan fasilitas laboratorium, agar dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran dengan kegiatan eksperimen secara optimal. Guru disarankan mengoptimalkan penggunaan fasilitas laboratorium yang ada untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran.

ABSTRACT

 

The study was aim to analyze: (1) the difference of student’s learning outcomes and scientific attitude between managed with science technology society and environment learning model and direct learning model, (2) the difference of student’s learning outcomes between managed with science technology society and environment learning model and direct learning model, (3) the difference of student’s scientific attitude between managed with science technology society and environment learning model and direct learning model.

This research was quasi experiments with non equivalent post-test only control group design. The samples of this experiment were students of X class of SMA Negeri Patas from academic year of 2010/2011 that was covered by 127 students. Samples were take by using simple random sampling technique. Data were collect by using learning outcomes test and scientific attitude questioner. Data were analyze by using one way MANOVA.

Based on the research, it was found that: (1) there was significant difference of student’s learning outcomes and scientific attitude between managed with science technology society and environment learning model and direct learning model, (2) there was significant difference of student’s learning outcomes between managed with science technology society and environment learning model and direct learning model, (3) student’s scientific attitude between managed with science technology society and environment learning model and direct learning model. The conditions and amount of support facilities in the form of tools and materials available in the laboratory experiments that inadequate schools, making it difficult to optimize the performance of each individual student. This resulted in some students tend to be passive and there was a disturbing and even his friends. Therefore, recommended to the school in order to further optimize laboratory facilities, in order to support the learning process with activities in an optimal experiment. Teachers were advise to optimize the use of existing laboratory facilities to support the learning process.
