PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERBIMBING DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelejaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan rancangan faktorial 2×2. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua kelas siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Abang Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 berjumlah 8 kelas (301 siswa). Sampel penelitian ini diambil menggunakan metode acak (Random Sampling), 4 kelas ditentukan sebagai sampel dan dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data motivasi belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan angket, sedangkan data hasil belajar IPA dikumpulkan dengan tes. Hasil data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji statistik Ancova faktorial 2×2. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelejaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA yang dicapai oleh kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah, (3) tidak terdapat pengaruh interkatif antara model pembelajaran (model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan model pembelajaran konvensional) dengan motivasi belajar (motivasi belajar tinggi dan motivasi belajar rendah) terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Sehubungan dengan temuan penelitian ini, disarankan agar model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai salah satu inovasi dalam pembelajaran IPA.

This research aimed at describing the effect of guided inquiry model and learning motivation upon students’ achievment on physics. This is a quasi-experimental research with 2 x 2 factorial designed. The population in this study were all students in the class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Abang in the academic year of 2015/2016 consisting of eight clases (301 students). The selection of the samples for this study were based on random sampling technique, four clases were selected as the samples, two clases as the experimental group and the others are the control group. The data of learning motivation were collected by questionnaire while the data of students’ achievment on physics were collected by achievment test. The data obtained then were analyzed by using Ancova 2 x 2 factorial. The results of this study were: (1) there was a significant difference of guided inquiry model and conventional model upon students’ achievment on physics, (2) there was a difference of the students’ achievment on physics between students with high learning motivation and the students with low learning motivation, and (3) there was no interaction effect between learning model (guided inquiry and conventional model) and learning motivation (high and low learning motivation). Based on the research findings, it is recomended that guided inquiry model is developed further as an alternative learning model in physics learning.
