PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH FISIKA MELALUI PENGENDALIAN BAKAT NUMERIK SISWA SMP
Abstract
Penelitian ini pada hakekatnya bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar melalui model problem based learning dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar melalui model pembelajaran langsung, (2) menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar melalui model problem based learning dengan siswa yang belajar melalui model pembelajaran langsung setelah dilakukan pengendalian terhadap skor bakat numerik, dan (3) menganalisis kontribusi bakat numerik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Guna mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilakukan penelitian kuasi eksperimen pada siswa kelas IX di SMP Negeri 3 Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Berdasarkan uji kesetaraan kelas, maka diperoleh 29 pasang kelas yang setara sehingga digunakan rancangan ekperimen posttest only control group design. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan ANACOVA satu jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan hasil sebagai berikut. (1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar melalui model problem based learning dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar melalui model pembelajaran langsung (F = 224,799; p<0,05). (2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar melalui model problem based learning dengan siswa yang belajar melalui model pembelajaran langsung setelah dilakukan pengendalian terhadap skor bakat numerik (F = 3,775; p<0,05). (3) Terdapat kontribusi bakat numerik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika (F = 331,247; p<0,05).

This study essentially aims to: (1) describe whether there are differences in problem-solving ability among the group of students who learn through problem-based learning models with a group of students who learn through direct instructional model, (2) analyze the differences in problem-solving ability among the group of students who learn through problem-based learning models with students who learn through direct instructional model after controlling the numerical aptitude scores, and (3) analyze the contribution of numerical aptitude towards problem-solving ability. To achieve this objective, was conducted study quasi-experimental on students in class IX SMP Negeri 3 Denpasar in the academic year 2013/2014. Based on the test equivalence of class, then we obtain 29 pairs of equivalent classes so that used experimental designs posttest only control group design.
