PENGARUH MODEL EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI SISWA
Abstract
Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi berprestasi antara siswa yang belajar dengan model experiential learning dengan siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilaksanakan penelitian dengan populasi siswa kelas X MIPA semester genap di SMA Negeri 1 Semarapura tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Berdasarkan hasil random sampling, terpilih kelas X MIPA 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data keterampilan berpikir kritis dikumpulkan dengan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan data motivasi berprestasi dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis multivariat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh temuan: 1) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi berprestasi antara siswa yang belajar dengan model experiential learning dengan siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional; 2) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang belajar dengan model experiential learning dengan siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional; 3) terdapat perbedaan motivasi berprestasi antara siswa yang belajar dengan model experiential learning dengan siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.

This quasi experimental research aimed to analyze the differences in the critical thinking skill and achievement motivation among students who learned with experiential learning model with students who learned with the conventional learning model. To achieve these objectives, the research carried out by taking the study population are students of class X MIPA SMAN 1 Semarapura, semester 2, academic year 2013/2014. Based on the results of the random sampling, class X MIPA 6 was selected as the experimental class and class X MIPA 7 as the control class. Critical thinking skill data taken with the test, and achievement motivation were taken using a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive and multivariate analysis. Based on the analysis of data and discussion of the obtained findings include: 1) there are differences in critical thinking skill and achievement motivation among the students who learned with the experiential learning model with students who studied with the conventional learning model; 2) there is a difference between the students' critical thinking skill that learned with the experiential learning with students who learned with the conventional learning; and 3) there is a difference between the achievement motivation of students who learned with the experiential learning with students who learned with the conventional learning.
