PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS DAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA SMA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan keterampilan proses sains dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini tergolong eksperimen semu pada siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Seririt tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Berdasarkan hasil uji kesetaraan kelas, digunakan rancangan eksperimen post test only control group design untuk dua kelompok sampel. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) perbedaan keterampilan proses sains dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning dan konvensional (F=70,253;p<0,05), (2) perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning dan konvensional (F=102,174;p<0,05), (3) perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning dan konvensional (F=31,00;p<0,05).

This study aims to analyze the differences of science process skills and problem solving ability between students who studied through problem based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventional learning model. This study was a quasi experimental on students in SMA Negeri 1 Seririt academic year 2015/2016. Based on the test equivalence of class, are used to design experiments posttest only control group design for two sample group. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and MANOVA. The result showed that (1) there is significant differences of science process skills and problem solving ability between students who studied through problem based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventional learning model (F=70,253;p<0,05), (2) there is significant differences of science process skills between students who studied through problem based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventional learning model (F=102,174;p<0,05), (3) there is significant differences of problem solving ability between students who studied through problem based learning model and their counterparts who studied through conventional learning model (F=31,00;p<0,05).
