PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN EXPERIENTIAL TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA SISWA SMP
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) perbedaan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran experiential dan siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran langsung, (2) perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran experiential dan siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran langsung, (3) perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran experiential dan siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran langsung.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest Posttest Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP N 1 Blahbatuh tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang terdiri dari VIII A sampai VIII I, berjumlah 349 siswa, dengan sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah 76 siswa, yang terdistribusi ke dalam dua kelas.Berdasarkan hasil random sampling terpilih kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII D sebagai kelas control. Data keterampilan proses sains dikumpul dengan tes keterampilan proses saina dan pemahaman konsep dengan tes pemahamn konsep. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisi dengan analisis deskriptif dan uji hipotesis dengan uji MANOVA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan proses sains antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran experiential dan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran langsung pada mata pelajaran IPA; (2) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran experiential dan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran langsung pada mata pelajaran IPA; (3) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran experiential dan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran langsung pada mata pelajaran IPA.

The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a difference in understanding the concept and skills of the science process between groups of students who are learning with experiential learning and group of students learning by direct learning in science subjects; (2) there is a difference of conceptual understanding between groups of students who are learning with experiential learning and group of students who learn by direct learning on science subjects; (3) There is a difference in the science process skill between groups of learners with experiential learning and group of students learning by direct learning on science subjects
