PENGEMBANGAN MODUL PEMBELAJARAN KINGDOM PLANTAE DENGAN SETTING INKUIRI TERBIMBING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA SMA
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul pembelajaran biologi dengan setting inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA. Prosedur pengembangan modul pembelajaran menggunakan model 4D (define, design, develope, disseminate) Thiagarajan (1974), meliputi 4 tahap yaitu: tahap pendefinisian, tahap perancangan, tahap, pengembangan, dan tahap diseminasi. Dalam penelitian ini hanya dilakukan tiga tahapan yaitu tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan, sedngakan tahap penyebaran tidak dilakukan dengan pertimbangan keterbatasan waktu. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi modul pembelajaran, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran, angket respon guru dan siswa terhadap perangkat pembelajaran, dan tes keterampilan proses sains. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji efektivitas modul adalah statistik deskriptif dan uji t satu pihak (one sample t test). Hasil penelitian: (1) validitas modul 4,10 dengan kategori valid; (2) kepraktisan modul 4,29 dengan kategori sangat praktis; dan (3) efektivitas modul memiliki rata-rata keterampilan proses sains 83,98 dengan kategori efektif karena melampaui KKM dengan persentase 96,77%. Hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan uji t satu pihak diperoleh nilai t 7,554 > t tabel 2,042 yang menunjukkan bahwa Ha gagal ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa.

This research aims to generate biology learning module in guided inquiry setting to improve student science process skill. This kind of research is research and development (R&D). Procedure of learning module development uses 4D Model according to Thiagarajan (1974), and divided into 4 stages i.e. 1) define; 2) design; 3) develope; 4) disseminate. This research only carried three stages, that is define, design, and develope, while the disseminate stage is not carried due to the limited of time. Data collecting instrument uses in this research that is learning module validation sheet, learning modul feasibility observation sheet, teacher response questionnaire, student response, and science process skill test. Data analysis methods used to analyze the effectivity of learning module is as follows, such as descriptive statistic and one sample t test. The research results obtain: (1) validity of learning module were develop based on validation by experts and practitioners obtain an average score of 4,10 which is valid; (2) learning module meets the practical criteria based on three results i.e. a) feasibility study; b) teacher response; and c) students response obtain 4,29 score which is very practical; (3) the module meets the criteria for effective learning based on the test results which is indicated by student achievement of science process skill. This is evident by average value of science process skill test are 83,98 which is fulfill the minimum score (78,00) by the percentage of 96,77%, and based on one sample t test obtained value 7,554 > 2,042 (t table). Based on the results concluded that learning module fulfill the criteria valid, practical, and effective way to increase student’s science process skill.
