Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis implementasi problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar biologi SMA ditinjau dari IQ. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Ubud dengan menggunakan rancangan Post Test Only Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 84 orang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik Random Sampling. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan analisis varians (ANAVA) dua jalur melalui uji F dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey.
Hasil penelitiannya adalah : (1) secara keseluruhan, hasil belajar Biologi siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung (FA = 4,36 dengan p < 0,05), (2) untuk siswa yang memiliki IQ tinggi, hasil belajar Biologi siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung (F = 25,96 dengan p < 0,05), (3) untuk siswa yang memiliki IQ rendah, hasil belajar Biologi siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning (F = 24,72 dengan p < 0,05), dan (4) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan IQ terhadap hasil belajar Biologi siswa (FAB = 4,35 dengan p < 0,05).
Dari hasil temuan penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa implementasi problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar Biologi ditinjau dari IQ pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Ubud.
Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi antara lain : 1) model pembelajaran problem based learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang perlu dipertimbangkan untuk dilaksanakan dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi, dan 2) penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learnin hendaknya mempertimbangkan tingkat keterampilan IQ siswa.

Biology Learning Achievement
This study is aimed at finding out and analyzing the implementation of Problem Based Learning toward Biology Learning Achievement of high school students viewed from IQ. This research was conducted in science class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Ubud using Post Test Only Control Group Design. The research samples were 84 students selected using Random Sampling Technique. The data obtained was processed by using Two Path Varians Analysis (ANAVA) and followed up by Tukey test.
The result of the study shows the followings : (1) On the whole, Biology Learning Achievements of students studying using Problem Based learning Instructional model is higher than those of students studying using direct instructional model(FA = 4,36 at p <0,05), (2) For students with high IQ, Biology Learning Achievements of students studying using Problem Based learning Instructional model is higher than those of students studying using direct instructional model (F = 25,96 at p<0,05, (3) For students with low IQ, Biology Learning Achievements of students studying using direct Instructional model is higher than those of students studying using problem based learning instructional model (F = 24,72 at p<0,05). And (4) There is an interaction effect between instructional model and IQ toward Biology Learning Achievements of students (FAB = 4,35 at p<0,05)
From the study findings, it is concluded that the implementation of Problem Based learning affects Biology Learning Achievement viewed from IQ on science class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Ubud.
This study contributes implication such as : 1) Problem Based learning Instructional model is an instructional model which should be taken into account to be applied within Biology Learning process, and 2) The application of Problem Based learning Instructional model should consider student IQ skill level.
