PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KONSEP BIOLOGI DAN SIKAP ILMIAH SISWA SMA DITINJAU DARI MINAT BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan penguasaan konsep biologi dan sikap ilmiah siswa antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung ( direct instruction), (2) pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan minat belajar biologi siswa terhadap penguasaan konsep biologi dan sikap ilmiah siswa, (3) perbedaan penguasaan konsep biologi dan sikap ilmiah siswa antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan siswa yang mengikuti  pembelajaran langsung, pada siswa yang  minat belajarnya tinggi, (4) perbedaan penguasaan konsep biologi dan sikap ilmiah siswa antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan siswa yang mengikuti  pembelajaran langsung, pada siswa yang  minat belajarnya rendah.

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimental semu(Quasi Experimental) dengan rancangan The Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas X SMA Lab Undiksha  semester genap tahun pelajaran 2010/2011. Penentuan sampel dengan metode simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes penguasaan konsep biologi, angket minat belajar dan sikap ilmiah siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan Multivariat Analyze of Variance (MANOVA).

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep biologi dan sikap ilmiah siswa antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung ( F= 9,264, p= 0,001 < 0,05), (2) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan minat belajar biologi siswa terhadap penguasaan konsep biologi dan sikap ilmiah siswa ( F = 14,428, p = 0,001 < 0,05 ), (3) Terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep biologi dan sikap ilmiah siswa antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan siswa yang mengikuti  pembelajaran langsung, pada siswa yang  minat belajarnya tinggi ( F = 25,652,  p = 0,001 < 0,05 ), (4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep biologi dan sikap ilmiah siswa antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan siswa yang mengikuti  pembelajaran langsung, pada siswa yang  minat belajarnya rendah ( F = 0,650,  p = 0,526 > 0,05 ).

Kata-kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri, Minat Belajar, Penguasaan Konsep Biologi dan Sikap Ilmiah.

 

ABSTRACT

The study was aimed at finding out: (1) the difference in biological concepts mastery and scientific attitudes between the students who were treated using inquiry strategy and the students who were treated using direct instruction, (2) the effect of interaction between learning instruction and students’ biology learning interest toward biological concepts mastery and students’ scientific attitude, (3) the difference of biological concepts mastery and scientific attitudes between the students who were taught using inquiry strategy and the students who were taught using direct instructions to the students who had high learning interest, (4) the difference of biological concepts mastery and scientific attitudes between the students who were taught using inquiry strategy and the students who were taught using direct instructions to the students who had low learning interest.

The study was designed in Quasi Experimental study using Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population of the study was grade X students of SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in the second semester year 2010/2011. The sample was chosen by simple random sampling method.  The data were obtained using biological concepts mastery test, learning interest and scientific attitudes questioner. The data being obtained were analyzed using Multivariate Analyze of Variance (MANOVA).

The analysis resulted that (1) There was a significant difference of biological concepts mastery and students’ scientific attitude between were treated using inquiry strategy and the students who were treated using direct instruction (F = 9, 246, p = 0,001 < 0,05); (2) There was an interaction effect between learning strategy and students’ Biology learning interest toward biological concepts mastery and students’ scientific attitudes (F = 14,428, p = 0,001 < 0,05); (3) There was a difference in biological concepts mastery and scientific attitudes between the students who were taught using inquiry strategy and the students who were taught using direct instructions to the students who had high learning interest (F = 14, 428, p = 0,001 < 0,05); (4) There was no significance difference in biological concepts mastery and scientific attitudes between the students who were taught using inquiry strategy and the students who were taught using direct instructions to the students who had low learning interest (F = 0,650, p = 0,526 > 0,05).
