KOMPARASI PENGARUH MODEL SIKLUS BELAJAR 5E DAN MODEL SIKLUS BELAJAR 7E TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP IPA DAN SIKAP ILMIAH SISWA SMP

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengomparasi perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPA dan sikap ilmiah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 5E dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 7E, (2) mengomparasi perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPA antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 5E dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 7E, (3) mengomparasi perbedaan sikap ilmiah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 5E dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 7E. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Pengambilan kelas penelitian berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling. Sampel yang terpilih adalah siswa kelas VIIA ¬sebagai kelompok yang dibelajarkan dengan model siklus belajar 5E dan siswa kelas VIIB sebagai kelompok yang dibelajarkan dengan model siklus belajar 7E. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes pemahaman konsep IPA dan kuesioner sikap ilmiah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan MANOVA satu jalur. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPA dan sikap ilmiah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 5E dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 7E (F = 4,297; p<0,05). (2) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPA antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 5E dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 7E (F = 4,057; p<0,05). (3) terdapat perbedaan sikap ilmiah antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 5E dengan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model siklus belajar 7E (F =5,305; p<0,05).

This study attempted to (1) compare the differences of science concept understanding and scientific attitude between a group of students who learn by using 5E learning cycle model and those who learn by using 7E learning cycle model, (2) compare the differences of science concept understanding between a group of students who learn by using 5E learning cycle model and those who learn by using 7E learning cycle model, (3) compare the scientific attitude between a group of students who learn by using 5E learning cycle model and those who learn by using 7E learning cycle model. This research is a quasi experiment research with pretest posttest control group design. This research population was all VII grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Denpasar in academic year 2015/2016. Sample was taken by using simple random sampling technique. The selected sample VIIA was an group which treated by using 5E learning cycle model and VIIB was also an group which treated by using 7E learning cycle model. Data were collected by science concept understanding test and questionnaire of scientific attitude. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and one-way MANOVA. The result were, (1) there was significant differences between the understanding of science concept and scientific attitude on a group of students who learned by using 5E learning cycle model and those who learned by using 7E learning cycle model (F = 4.297; p<0.05), (2) there was significant differences between the understanding of science concept on a group of students who learned by using 5E learning cycle model and those who learned by using 7E learning cycle model (F = 4.057; p<0.05), (3) there was significant differences of scientific attitude between a group of students who learned by using 5E learning cycle model and those who learned by using 7E learning cycle model (F =5.305; p<0.05).
