PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK (MPBP) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH IPA SISWA SMP DILIHAT DARI MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis 1) pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (MPBP) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang dilihat dari motivasi berprestasi dan 2) pengaruh interaksi antara MPBP dengan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini merupkan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan post test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP N 3 Sidemen, yaitu dua kelas eksperimen dan dua kelas kontrol. Sampel diambil 60 siswa, yaitu 30 dari kelas kontrol dan 30 dari kelas eksperimen berdasarkan motivasi berprestasi tinggi dan rendah. Instrument yang digunakan berupa test kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kuesioner motivasi berprestasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik ANAVA dua jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan ANAVA dua jalur diperoleh FA =166,788; (p<0,05), disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik yang signifikan antara peserta didik pada kelas MPBP dan peserta didik pada kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis untuk hipotesis kedua, FAB = 0,296; (p>0,05), maka tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah.

This study aimed to analyze 1) the effect of the project based learning (PBL) toward the problem solving skill was looked by motivation and 2) the interaction effect between PBL and motivation toward the problem solving skill. This study was a quasi experiment with post test only controls group design. Population was a whole 8th grade student of SMP N 3 Sidemen; those are two classes as control group and two classes as experiment group. Sample was taken 60 students; those are 30 students from control group and 30 students from experiment group according to the motivation. The instruments used test of problem solving skill and questioner about motivation. Data analysis used two-ways ANOVA analysis. The results of the two-ways ANOVA analysis, FA =166.788; (p<0.05). It can be concluded that there were significant differences in problem solving skill of the students between PBL group and control group. The result of the second hyphotesis, FAB = 0.296; (p>0.05), it can be concluded that there were not interaction effect between PBL and motivation toward the problem solving skill.
